Annual Veterinarian license renewals, RVT renewals and CAET renewals are for the period beginning January 1st of each year. The renewal certificate of the licensee indicates the effective date of the renewal for the year. If complete and received by the Board of Veterinary Medicine on or before January 1, it will have an effective date of January 1. If properly completed and received by the Board after January 1, the renewal certificate will indicate the date of receipt by the Board as the effective date of renewal for the year.
Veterinarians and Registered Veterinary Technicians are required by law to post their renewal certificates in a conspicuous location in the principal office where they are employed. No person is authorized to practice their respective profession each year until the effective date of their renewal.
